Condoleezza Rice and Joel Klein to Headline Jeb Bush’s 5th Annual National Summit on Education Reform

Washington, DC – This November, Jeb Bush, chairman of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, will host the 5th annual Excellence in Action National Summit on Education Reform. This two-day event is a forum to learn what works, what doesn’t and what’s next to transform education for the 21st century.

Dr. Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. Secretary of State, and Joel Klein, former chancellor of New York City’s public schools, will headline the keynote dinner. This commanding duo, along with Dr. Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations, will examine the failures of America’s education system, which compromise the security of our nation and the futures of our students.

“Educational failure puts the United States’ future economic prosperity, global position, and physical safety at risk. Leaving large swaths of the population unprepared also threatens to divide Americans and undermine the country’s cohesion, confidence, and ability to serve as a global leader,” warn Dr. Rice and Mr. Klein through a new report on U.S. Education Reform and National Security. The report, a product of the Independent Task Force chaired by Dr. Rice and Mr. Klein, was recently released by the Council on Foreign Relations.

Register today, and don’t miss this incredible opportunity to hear from these two national leaders. Stay tuned for more announcements on trailblazing keynote presentations and strategy sessions.  The annual Excellence in Action National Summit on Education Reform immerses lawmakers and policymakers in two days of in-depth discussions on proven policies and innovative strategies to improve student achievement.
